Rowan Conroy es artista visual y profesor de Fotografía, School of Art & Design, Australian National University e investigador principal en ANU Inkjet Research Facility.

En 2012, fue galardonado con un doctorado de la Universidad de Sydney por su tesis Archaeologies of the Present: Rephotographing the Woodhouse Photographic Archive, un proyecto de refotografía realizado en Grecia revistando sitios arqueológicos y entornos urbanos.

Conroy ha recibido numerosas subvenciones y sus obras son regularmente preseleccionadas en los premios nacionales de arte.

Ha expuesto extensamente y sus obras se llevan a cabo en colecciones públicas y privadas en Australia e internacionalmente.

 

Rowan Conroy is a visual artist and lecturer in Photography, School of Art & Design, Australian National University and principal researcher at the ANU Inkjet Research Facility.

In 2012, he was awarded a PhD from the University of Sydney for his thesis Archaeologies of the Present: Rephotographing the Woodhouse Photographic Archive, a rephotography project undertaken in Greece revisiting archaeological sites and urban environments.

Conroy has been the recipient of grants and his artworks are regularly shortlisted in national art prizes.

He has exhibited extensively and his works are held in public and private collections across Australia and internationally.
