Marjorie Devon fue la directora del Tamarind Institute desde 1985 hasta 2015.  Durante ese tiempo, ella se acercó a los estudiantes, artistas, y coleccionistas alrededor del mundo para inculcar una apreciación por la litografía original y el grabado colaborativo.

Devon ha impartido conferencias ampliamente sobre temas relacionados con el grabado Norteamericano. Ella juró y curó exposiciones y organizó simposios y proyectos especiales con artistas internacionales que a menudo integraban objetivos sociales y artísticos. 

Devon editó tres libros y es la autora de Tamarind Techniques for Fine Art Lithography (Abrams: New York, 2008).  Además, produjo una serie de videos documentales sobre los talleres de cuatro ex alumnos del Tamarind Institute. 

Marjorie Devon was director of Tamarind Institute from 1985 to 2015.

During that time, she reached out to students, artists, and collectors around the globe to instill an appreciation for fine art lithography and collaborative printmaking.

Devon lectured widely on topics related to American printmaking, juried and curated exhibitions, and organized symposia and special projects with international artists that often integrated social and artistic goals.

Devon edited three books, and is the author of Tamarind Techniques for Fine Art Lithography.

She also produced a series of documentary videos on four print studios of former Tamarind students.
