La práctica de Jacqueline Butler se centra en la fotografía, video y escritura.

Su obra investiga dos temas distintos; un enfoque sobre la familia, explorando la pérdida y la herencia femenina, y reflexiones sobre el espacio iluso de la fotografía.

Estudia actualmente en Glasgow School of Art, su proyecto doctoral entrelace la tecnología nueva y tradicional, reflexionándose sobre la historia de este medio.

Jacqueline es Head of Media en Manchester School of Art y una Coordinadora de Family Ties Network. Sirve en la Junta Ejecutiva de Open Eye Photography Gallery, Liverpool y el Consejo de la Image International Research Network.

 

Jacqueline Butler’s arts practice sits within photography, video and writing.

Her artwork explores two distinct areas; a focus on family, exploring loss and female inheritance, and reflections on the illusory space photography offers.

Currently studying at Glasgow School of Art, her PhD weaves old with new technology and reflects on the history of the medium.

Jacqueline is Head of Media at Manchester School of Art, MMU and one of the Coordinators of Family Ties Network. She is on the Executive Board at Open Eye Photography Gallery, Liverpool and on the Advisory Board of The Image International Research Network.
